Care more particularly for the individual patient than for the special features of the disease.
– Sir William Osler

As a board certified, general cardiologist, I specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease. Since 1970, I have practiced at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, where I am Chief of the Fuqua Heart Center and director of the electrocardiography, stress, and echocardiography laboratory. In addition, I am a tenured Professor of Medicine at Emory University Medical School and am actively involved in teaching and writing. In my solo practice, I try to foster a close doctor-patient relationship emphasizing education and careful follow-up in collaboration with the primary care physician.

I accept new patients by self-referral or through other physicians. Timely written communications are provided to referring physicians outlining the patient's diagnostic problems, test results, and recommendations, and a summary letter is sent to the patient. Telephone communications may supplement written reports.
